The first general assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Veterinary Medical Association was held on 6 April 1975 at the Turkish Cypriot Association of Architects and Engineers to discuss the charter prepared by the founding members. The first general assembly was held with the participation of twenty members.

At the second meeting of the board of directors dated May 23, 1977, it was decided to re-establish the veterinary union in accordance with the “Veterinary Medical Association Law No. 4/1977”. In line with the decision taken, the third ordinary general assembly was held on 11 June 1977 and the election of the Chairman and the Board of Directors was held in accordance with the law no 4/1977. As the Director of the Veterinary Department, Vural Güven has been a natural member of the Honor Committee.
